The people shaping the industry

Latest News

ATLAS has represented the leading companies in the lightning protection and specialist access at height sectors since 1946. Together we’ve been at the forefront of industry developments and have worked collaboratively to improve working practices, technical excellence and the skills of the workforce. All this is to ensure that the industry’s clients get the highest quality service.

None of it would be possible without members from across the sector dedicating their time and efforts to the association.

Member representation

One way our members can get more involved is by joining the ATLAS Council or one of our committees.

Council and committee members go above and beyond to improve safety, standards and training for all. They come from a wide range of companies, bringing expertise and insights from across the sector and undertaking work that ultimately helps to raise standards.

Council and committees

There are four committees that each represent a different area of the industry:

  • Lightning Protection Committee
  • Safety & Access Committee
  • Earthing Committee
  • Public Relations Committee

Plus, there’s the ATLAS Council, of which Paul Sturges (Sentinel Lightning Protection and Earthing) is currently President. While our committees are focused on their own specialist areas, Council takes a broader view. Its elected members meet regularly to discuss, debate and make decisions about the work that ATLAS undertakes, with members helping to shape the direction and future of the Association.
