ATLAS hosts a number of its highly respected BS EN: 62305 Accreditation and Refresher Sessions throughout the year. Below you will find all the scheduled courses, as well as upcoming meetings and events.

Training & Events Calendar
ATLAS is delighted to announce an Accreditation Session on BS EN: 62305, the recognised British Standard for the design, installation and testing of lightning protection systems, for those who have not previously sat the accreditation, or for those who would like to re-sit the examinations. The training will be provided by Sean Passant (ATLAS President).The Accreditation session is designed for those with no prior knowledge or training on either the 2006 or 2011 standard and will prepare the candidate to sit the accreditation exam.
Gain Accreditation
The course will feature two days of training with a further day and a half of examinations the following week for candidates who would like to receive accreditation. Candidates who successfully complete the course and both examinations will receive an accreditation certificate valid for five years.
Course Details
The Accreditation session will take place on:
13 & 14 September 2022 – Training Course
20 & 21 September 2022 – Examinations
Each Accreditation session is priced at:
– £450+VAT – Training course only
– £650+VAT – Training and examination.
If you have previously undertaken the full course and wish to re-sit examinations only, a limited number of places will be available at a cost of £200+VAT.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided on 13, 14, and 20 September. A lunch will not be provided on 21 September due to the early finish.
What to Bring
***All candidates must bring a copy of BS EN 62305: 2011***
It would also be beneficial for candidates to bring the following items to assist them throughout the training:
• the current Furse BS EN 62305 guide or other lightning protection manufacturer’s literature
• a copy of ‘Changes to BS EN 62305 from the 2006 edition’
• A scientific calculator.
Candidates will also need to bring the following items to the examination session:
• Red pen
• Drawing compass
• Protractor
• Scale ruler
• A scientific calculator
Please note, candidates are able to access the standard electronically, but will not be permitted to access the internet.

The training will be provided by Sean Passant (ATLAS President). This session is designed to refresh your knowledge of the BS EN: 62305 standard, and to renew your accreditation certificate.
Gain Accreditation
The course will feature one day of training and a further half day of examinations. Candidates who successfully complete the course and examination will receive an accreditation certificate valid for five years.
Course Details
The Accreditation Refresher Session will take place on:
19 September 2022 – Refresher Training over zoom
20 or 21 September 2022 – Examination at Clayton Hotel Bristol (Please choose the date you wish to complete your exam on your booking form)
Each Refresher Session is priced at:
– £250+VAT – Training course only
– £400+VAT – Training and examination.
If you have previously undertaken the full course and wish to re-sit examinations only, a limited number of places will be available at a cost of £150+VAT.
Refreshments will be provided on 20 & 21 September. A lunch will not be required due to the early finish.
