ATLAS is delighted to announce an Accreditation Refresher Session to update your knowledge on BS EN: 62305: 2011, the recognised British Standard for the design, installation and testing of lightning protection systems. The training will be provided by Sean Passant (ATLAS Vice President). This Session is designed to refresh your knowledge of the BS EN: 62305 standard, and to renew your accreditation certificate.
The course will feature one day of training and a further half day of examinations the following week. Candidates who successfully complete the course and examination will receive an accreditation certificate valid for five years.
The Accreditation Refresher Session will take place on:
Tuesday 21 April – Training course
Tuesday 28 April – Examination.
Each Refresher Session is priced at:
– £250+VAT – Training course only
– £400+VAT – Training and examination.
If you have previously undertaken the full course and wish to re-sit examinations only, a limited number of places will be available at a cost of £150+VAT.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided on 21 April. A lunch will not be provided on 28 April due to the early finish.
What to Bring
It would be beneficial for candidates to bring the following items to assist them throughout the training:
- A copy of the BS EN 62305: 2011
- The current Furse BS EN 62305 guide or other lightning protection manufacturer’s literature
- A copy of ‘Changes to BS EN 62305 from the 2006 edition’
- A scientific calculator.
Candidates will also need to bring the following items to the examination session:
• Red pen
• Drawing compass
• Scale ruler
• A scientific calculator
